Caring for a family member with Alzheimer’s or other memory-related disorders imposes great burdens and stresses on the primary caregiver and the family. Licensed professional counselors with specialized geriatric experience offer individual and/or family counseling. Caregiver resources include:

• Care options available for home, respite, or alternative residential care.
• Personal issues for caregivers such as stress, time management, depression, guilt, loss, anger and role shift.
• Referrals for geriatric, medical, psychiatric, and legal consultations.
• Our caregiver resource center features a lending library of books, DVDs and periodicals.

Senior Care also sponsors a complimentary Caregiver’s Support Group affiliated with the Alzheimer’s Association which meets on the first Monday and Tuesday of every month. This group is open to caregivers and is professionally facilitated.

Fees: Support services are free; private counseling calculated on a sliding scale.
