You can support Senior Care in many ways, by a direct contribution, attending our fundraiser events, and/or donating art to our Art for Caring Program.
Art for Caring
Overlook Mountain, the mural-sized pigment print from a swing lens photograph by Montclair artist Peter Jacobs, is on loan and hopes to be part of the SCAC permanent collection. In the Senior Care and Activities Center, art is a vital part of the caring environment. The Art for Caring program is an ongoing effort to have in place a permanent art collection. Through the generosity of our friends, old and brand-new, our clients will be surrounded by the work of artists, selected by an art committee of three volunteers — artist and SCAC board member, Ronald Ridgeway; well-known member of Montclair’s art community Jacklyn Kling; and headed by Senior Care’s First Vice-President, Deborah Perelmuter. If you would like to join the caring folks who recently bought us nine paintings, most of which are already framed and on display in our new Center, there are several ways to become involved. Contribute a painting you have made, or one from your private collection. Donate money to Senior Care’s Art for Caring Fund, which is dedicated to the acquisition of art work for the Center.
